What is Sticks 2 Schools?
Sticks-2-Schools provides PE teachers with lacrosse equipment, curriculum and support to schools to introduce co-ed soft lacrosse into the Physical Education (PE) curriculum.
Sticks-2-Schools is a nonprofit, public benefit corporation, organized under the 501(c)3 section of the tax code, that helps fight childhood obesity by motivating youth to increase their level of physical activity.
School budgets are under severe pressure and can't afford to upgrade or enhance their PE programs with the needed equipment for new sports. Since 2005, Sticks-2-Schools has introduced lacrosse into the PE and after-school programs at 111 elementary, middle and high schools in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area of California. While continuing to support the Bay Area, starting 2010, S2S is pleased to start working with schools in the greater Seattle Area of Washington.
Through the generosity of our corporate sponsors and private donors, we've given an estimated 50,000 youth the opportunity to learn lacrosse and get fit. New schools are added every day!
